I am certainly not saying I am homophobic I am simply objecting to people using words to describe something & in my opinion using the wrong word for their own means & therefore twisting the real & well established meaning of the word Gay.

If I wish to describe a colourful flower or a brightly patterned fabric as gay, I do. If the person I'm speaking to doesn't understand then that is their loss.

@Ron...your argument is rather one-sided, however, when you strongly object to the word "gay" being "taken" by homosexuals. This occurred after decades of many heterosexuals "twisting the real and well-established meaning" of many words (eg bent, fairy, pansy, faggot, queer etc etc) for THEIR own ends. I expect that you're not quite so against the "taking" of these words, however...chances are, you've used most of them.
