Can anybody tell me how eeyore lose his tail

All the charactors are toys (based on Christopher Robins real life toys) and Eeyore is a "pin-the-tail" on the donkey toy

It just fell off one day & when Pooh noticed that it was missing he offered to go & find it.  He went to see owl, who was supposed to be clever, & found it hanging outside his front door.  Owl had found it hanging on a bush &, thinking that nobody wanted it, he took it home for a bell-rope.

Pooh retrieved it & Christopher Robin nailed (yes, 'nailed') it back into place.

I just love a happy ending, don't you?!  :o)
