And why didn't the husband say anything, when he got in bed near the end, when she had asked him in the morning, was he having an affair?

I'm trying to work out whather there is a twist. I wondered if he wasn't having an affair- perhaps the girl was a daughter from a previous relationship- but that wouldn't explain why he was tested for an STD- unless he suspected he might have caught something from his wife.

The black girl -there is something 'interesting' there I'm sure. Strangely I thought he was lying from the start but OH was convinced he was innocent. Its a really good drama and far better than the disappointing 'Black Work' that was on earlier this year.

He could be having sex with more than one person -maybe this is where the black girl comes in? maybe he's been seeing her and thought he had caught something? Maybe the black girl is trying to ruin him somehow -it was her that followed the husband in the first place and told Dr. Foster where the phone and bag had been hidden.

The whole thing is a bit far-fetched, don't you think?
A doctor who initially won't give a patient sleeping pills because she doesn't think they are the answer, is then quite happy to hand them over if the patient spys on the doctor's husband.
Haven't seen part two yet, so may be jumping the gun.

Our theory was that he wasn't having an affair- but the moment he denied it mrsfiction-factor said she now knew he was (woman's logic). I still thought he wasn't - I thought the pregnant one would be his daughter- but I was so wrong
