Robert De No No....

I know I will sound silly to all movie buffs out there, but am I the only one who actually doesnt like the Robert De Niro ? he may be a legend, but he just never appeals to me.

I never liked him as a gangster like the Godfather, goodfellers.   I felt he tryed to hard to look hard.  But outwith gangster films I think he's a good actor

I agree - he's hugely overrated as an actor. I'm sick of seeing him mugging to the camera in everything he's in.

His supporting role in The Mission was superb.  Entirely non-De Niro in nature. The only thing in the movie better than De Niro was the musical score... in my humble opinion...By the way, it won Academy Award in 1987 for Best Cinematography... Unfortunately, Robert De Niro has become somewhat of a caricature in the past few years...
