Would that really have happened if a stomach ulcer burst ? I was surprised about the amount of blood.
I thought it was all a bit unnecessary but my teenage sons thought it was the funniest thing they'd seen on TV this year! My grandfather had a burst stomach ulcer and I just remember him being in excruciating pain, my mum however tells me he did vomit up blood but fortunately not as dramatically or with such projection as Lord Grantham
Good acting though !

I thought it was unnecessary and horrible. My father had one many years ago, but he didn't vomit blood.
At every ad break they kept warning of violent scenes. I thought they meant a fight.
by "shocking scenes", I thought they were referring to Michelle Dockery's acting. More hammy than Hammy the hamster

My late father had a burst ulcer and yes, there was a lot of blood. He just didn't do it over the dinner table.
