I'm sure I watched this a few years ago on television. I can't find any reference to it though.

Perhaps I am mixing it up with the book.

Does anyone else think they've seen it before?

No, I don't think it's been on before, at least not here.
I cannot remember it either. Alan Bennett said he didn't publish the book until the lady died.

It's a film. It'll probably not be long before it's on TV.

The film is currently on release, Piper.

I swear I've seen it before.........!
Tilly it's a new film but was written by Alan Bennett in 1999 and is a true story about a lady who parked on his drive. The lead was played by Maggie Smith in the original stage play.
Are you a fan of Radio 4? A radio adaptation of the original play was transmitted in 2009. Perhaps that's why you remember it? (You certainly can't remember the story from the book because there hasn't been one!)
I think there was a TV programme, Tilly - which was more of an 'illustrated interview with Mr Bennett" rather than a proper dramatic production.

Thanks, Retrochic. I'm not going mad, then. :-)
oh I didn't say that Tilly ....;-)
I've read the play and seen it on stage with Nicola McAwliffe as the lady in the van. I saw the film recently and loved it although I found it slightly funnier when i watched it live on stage. Great writer isn't he?
Hi Tilly, there was a 'Talking Heads' series I watched on t.v a while back .. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talking_Heads_(series)
I met the real one several times.
Did you arrest her shoota or just move her on?
