he has a series of 5-6 glasses small to large, the small one is full of milk. When he pours the small glass into the next big one it fills it and then he pours that into the next biggest glass and that also fills it and so on up the line. The largest glass is then used to refill the small ones thus demonstrating that more liquid is indeed created.
Thanks Tora.
To answer your question, no, haven't got a clue.

I'd rather my sense of wonder remain undiminished
There must be some dilution going on from water we can't see because of the design of those glasses.
I think the glasses already have water in them which is concealed by the pattern. The fluid is not milk but something that has white pigment in it. As the liquid goes from glass to glass, the pigment is diluted by the hidden water.
That seems the most likely answer, I agree Robinia
Ha ha snap Robi, you and I have been around too long!
haha...there are no surprises left woofy :)
I know!!
Question Author
no, if it was pouring into water already there then it would start clouding at the start. The "milk" clearly goes to the bottom of each glass.
Question Author
right, just figured out one way this could work....I'll see what others come up with first.
I think the glasses had a double skin, making it appear full when actually the milk was between the two. Reversing the procedure would be done by pouring the milk into the inner part of the glass. Apologies if this sounds complicated but you know what I mean!
johnny that doesn’t explain the increase in volume.
Good trick wasn't it, I'd also like to know how that was done ( can it be done with any liquid such as beer ).
I've got a friend who is a magician so will ask him tomorrow, but I think the inside of the glasses is the answer.

Pity that SF is leaving, wont be the same with the posh midget!
