No, he doesnt.

If you have the Spaced DVD's flick it on to the cast and makers commentary, the whole 2 series is worth rewatching with that feature turned on.

In the commentaries you find out the name of the fella that did the illustrations, but I cannot for the life of me remember his name.

It's one of the 2000AD artists, cos Pegg is a big fan of The Galaxy's Greatest Comic, hence the reference to the death of Johnny Alpha in one episode.

He also does the voice of Alpha in 2000AD Audio-Drama thingies.
