how did the lost luggage by airline get to the ship when it was well on its way in the middle of an ocean ?

I didn't see the programme but this article says "The Cruise will follow the lives of the crew and guests as the 3,560-passenger ship sails through northern Europe and Russia":

If so, it's nowhere near to 'the middle of an ocean!
