Last night Mrs Whelan told the Prince she had a child. First I heard of a child. Was she lying?

She has a sort of adopted child by hubbie's affair with an Indian Woman who died I believe. I lose track on what is going on now. Just heard that the programme will be axed. It is the most costliest TV drama ever??

Oh, didn't realize she had adopted him. It never quite hit the mark. I cannot think of Mrs Whelan first name, a sure sign the character had not made an impression. Could have done more with Alice and her nasty hubby.

I didn't mean they legally adopted the houseboy. I think she was told by Mr Whelan or she overheard a conversation that the boy is Whelan's son. So she is a sort of adopted mother by marriage.
