his head wound was from bashing it against car's interior.. a gunshot to the temple would have resulted in immediate curtains....

Brilliant - until Cotton ran - and that made it unrealistic and hence, disappointing. Unbelievable that such a clever, conniving, man would think he could escape by running.

he was desperate..knew his time was up and he had already tipped off his colluding officers and pre arranged a spring and collect plan !

I know it's not real - just a little disappointed that, after all that edge of the seat stuff, the end was so 'unreal'. I enjoyed it though.

have only seen one episode (it's on after my bedtime) but wow!! it was blooming good.
Will need to see if I can find it on catch-up or iplayer or some other way and sit and treat myself :D

Who was the armed officer who opened fire in the office?

He was one of Cotten's group. Cotten texted him immediately before he opened fire to tell him they had been rumbled. Can't remember what the wording was but Cotten had a group of corrupt officers, hence the car that came to rescue C and knocked Kate down. There was also an armed officer in the car with C who shot at Kate when C fell out the door.

A colleague tells me she has just bought Series 1 & 2 combined for £12 at Saintsbury's. For those who've not seen them and don't have other means(Netflix etc) it'll be the best 12 quid you've ever spent, I promise you, though I believe Series 2 is still available on BBC iPlayer.
