Did anyone see this? I caught the second episode last night. Fascinating! Puts a personal perspective on immigration.
Two things stood out for me. Firstly the young girl looking out of the train window saying that another train was full of foreigners until her mother pointed out that she was the foreigner! The other was the wonderment that they all had that people were allowed to walk the streets, stop for a coffee or shop without fear. Made me think.

These type of programmes are there to make you think. And tug at the heart whilst putting the head into idle for a bit. 'Everyone' wants to help the unfortunate, it's human nature, but one has to be practical when deciding how best to do it.

Very, very soon you will have a long trail of responses on here telling you how, yes, it is all somewhat regrettable but it is not "our" problem - our problems are far worse and these "people" (not really people like ourselves, more like animals, really) should go back to where they came from and why are you watching stuff like this anyway because it is all a load of loony-left-liberal propaganda and emotional blackmail: Find a better channel, watch EastEnders, Corrie, football or something more uplifting and culturally appropriate - best of all, go to the pub (except there might be some of "them" on the way if not actually there). Surely you want to clearly identify yourself as one of "us", don't you - if not you will be instantly be labelled as deranged or worse ? There are ABers itching for a go at their keyboards.
Thank you for pointing this series out to me, I will look up all the episodes.

I have seen the 1st & 2nd, and I agree it was fascinating carol, to the point that it somewhat changed a LITTLE of some of the anti thoughts I had before.
IMO, we saw hundreds of immigrants, and the ones we saw talking to the cameras seemed very nice honest people, just looking for a better life for themselves & family's.
What we didn't see, were the ones that were just escaping from their country's, not because of wars or torture, but for the benefits they think they will be entitled too in Europe.
It was funny seeing the 4 sisters looking at the snow, and them seeing, men & women walking together, and the maturity of the young girl keeping her family together, until it got to much for her in the end.
Looking forward to tonight's last episode.
