Harlequin ichthyosis

Did anyone see the programme on BBC2 on Tuesday night about a skin disease called harlequin ichthyosis? Those girls were so brave, and it ended on a really positive note. I'll be following with interest from now on!

Yes georgit I did see that.  Weren't the girls just lovely though.  The older one had a fantastic way with kids when she was on her college placement. What an awful condition; they have a very patient and understanding mum too.

I saw it too - and totally agree with both of you. Makes you stop and think about how much is taken for granted. It must be so hard for all of them, the girls, and their parents, but glad that they could be optimistic about the future!

I thought it was great that each family had another they could relate to.

It made me think about how much I moan when I've got housework and ironing to do. Needless to say, i'll be counting my blessings from now on.

I hope there's a follow up.
