One of my favourites programmes. Not going to be the same with adverts in it.
3-year deal for Channel 4 confirmed.....does it matter? Record and whizz past the ads...easy!
Question Author
Yes, I could record it, I suppose.
The channel switch risks Bake Off losing its popular judges Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood, as well as its hosts Mel and Sue. None of its stars were consulted during the negotiations. Oh dear!
interesting....channel 4 have bought the format but no guarantee that Paul, Mary, Mel or Sue will stay with the show....
Looks like RIP GBBO. Nice knowing you.
Without the original hosts and judges it's finished.
I thought it was actually made by the BBC but apparently not!
It is made by a company called 'Love Productions' and Channel 4 has out bid the BBC for the next series.
The people on it would be working for the production company not the BBC .
They don't have a say in where it is shown.
Did someone punch a producer ?

Dave.
I've never watched it, but I don't understand why people are saying it won't be the same with adverts. I know ads are slightly annoying, but we have them in sports programmes, soaps, everything else that's not on BBC.
I can understand why keen followers may not be happy with a change of format or presenters/hosts but the Channel alone shouldn't matter too much.

For all you fans I hope it doesn't get spoiled in the move.
Great bit of sponge by Channel 4..
The production company kneaded more dough
Has someone locked the door on the Jokes section , or are you not sure you're up to scratch ;-)
Yet another programme poached from the Beeb.......
Yet another programme poached from the Beeb.......
Oh no, don't tell me I've contracted Ludwig's disease...!
Here's hoping the production company and Channel 4 manage to find an annoying, lightweight drone like they have for F1.
Yon Welsh bloke makes Susie Wolff look poised, slick, confident and well informed.
Wadda you think DeeSee?
