They seem like a nice bunch of people, all friendly with each other up to now, hope we get some arguments.

The footballer looks very vulnerable, he's had a a little cry already.

If you dont like, or watch the show, you dont have to comment.

ahhh..that's nice Andy..as the present Mr Hughes I hope you spoil her a bit
What did Wayne Bridge's girlfriend see in hard man John Terry then?
Again - money. Sure as heck couldn't have been anything else
Here, can you bet in the bookies on who could be a winner

divebuddy - //Elina. Most of the "house husbands" I've known have been wussies. Having your wife be the bread winner can't do a lot for your self esteem. Just my opinion (in case Andy reads this). //

Of course it's your opinion, and I am delighted to advise you that you too can think what you like!

It depends on your definition of 'wussies' and whatever the opposite to that might be - and whether you are looking at superficial indicators that may not reveal the true picture.

As I have said, no partner in a proper balanced relationship should feel inferior because they perform a different role.

Any 'breadwinner' needs a support system of some sort - that may be a partner who runs the home, which in itself is a responsibility as equal and as difficult as any full-time job.

Or, as in our case, it may be that one has elected not to follow a high-powered career in order to provide most of the practical support, although it is a very fluid situation with no demarcation lines whatsoever.

Whoever is around with the energy does the chores - it works fine.
murraymints - //ahhh..that's nice Andy..as the present Mr Hughes I hope you spoil her a bit //

Indeed I do - she has breakfast in bed every day she is home, with the exception of Christmas Day, when she gets up before me to get the dinner going.
divebuddy - //^^^^^ Perhaps she didn't really fancy someone who was good at washing up/cleaning etc. //

Since at the time Mr Bridge was playing football full-time, maybe his domestic skills were yet to be realised?

Or maybe they are not as one-dimensional as your view of them would suggest.
do you provide training for errant partners ??? lol
Andrew Hughes, are you sticking up for a footballer?
-- answer removed --
Well its only just started but like most years I only know a few of them this year: Wayne Bridge, Carol Vorderman, Scarlett Moffatt and by a distance Ashley Banjo's brother... Jordan (street dance Diversity member)

Too early for allegiances to be formed but enjoying what little we've being shown.
RandyMarsh - //Andrew Hughes, are you sticking up for a footballer? //

I am not sticking up for anyone - I am simply trying to advance the view that the stereotypical images being put forward as part of this thread are just that - stereotypical, and have no place in the modern world.
By the way on 'Talkpsort' they've being taking the rise of Wayne Bridge ball-ing his eyes out... a bit mean but funny.
divebuddy - //Here's some more of my opinion.

//one has elected not to follow a high-powered career in order to provide most of the practical support//

When a man says something like that (about himself) it means that the "higher career" wasn't an option for him. //

Speaking from personal experience - it was very much an option, but one not taken from choice.

Where do you get these fixed stereotypical ideas about compete strangers?
no it doesn't divebuddy..it means that Andy supported his mrs going through college /uni and she is now able to earn good money and she is happy to have Andy at home doing what he does to enable her.and Andy , equally, is happy to take that role.....swings and roundabouts and a healthy relationship...stop imposing your ideas of normality on Andy...normal is what works for individual couples....
murraymints - just to clarify, I'm not 'at home', I have a full time day job, and a highly successful freelance writing career in my spare time, the proceeds of which take us on a very nice holiday every year.

I understand that Andy..badly worded on my part..you are happy to support your wife by undertaking domestic duties at home when there...would you like a servant to come along on your hols to assist..rub on cream..fetch the drinks....shake out sand etc etc....??
I thought this thread was about 'I'm a Celebrity' ! As usual it's gone way off track
