I think they have to do random quiz questions over the phone. I think Jim36 has been on it so he can tell us..

I seen the Come Dine With Me application form...and it's very very detailed.

You ring them and leave your number then they ring you back and ask you a few questions like would you take a high or low offer and who would you like to face.
Then they ask you ten questions and then they'll say they'll get back to you if you're successful

Just to add, I told them I don't mind who face and I'd take the higher offer, I got 5/10 questions right and never heard from them again

Thanks for the shout-out ummmm, although in fact I've never been on the Chase. Applied twice but either missed the deadline for the latest round of applying, or was just too far towards the back of the queue.

It's a popular show, anyway, so a lot of people apply, making it perhaps tricky to get through the first stage of submitting an online application (as in Murdo's link above). After that, I assume it works similarly to other quiz shows that I have been on, ie a small quiz + some sort of informal interview. The show is looking for two things: good quizzers, but also people who are "interesting", in one way or another.

No test. I managed to get accepted but then ill health intervened and I had to cancel

The Chase last night. Mark still hadn't finished giving his correct answer when the clock hit Zero. Bradly let him win. It's the second time I've seen this happen.
