I too thought 'oh no Roy not your shopping bag' when I saw him with it after the 'wedding'! Kathy has gone to stay with Alya's gran for now. Her and Roy not a good match.

I think the writers were wrong to give Roy a 'love interest'. No one will ever come close to Hayley for Roy.

I think they should have left him be the Widower who only ever had one real love in his life, there are lots of people like that.
