I have just watched this on BBC Two.

Thanks Heaven for Alan ! Just what would we do without him ?

The program ended with views of the Yorkshire Dales, with the Dream of Gerontius, and Kathleen Ferrier.

Always found him a bit like international football. You have to watch 50 matches to stand half a chance of seeing a reasonable one. So it is with Mr Bennett. You have to watch him for an hour and hope you might see two minutes of brilliance. And he does come across a bit maudlin from time to time.

Still, I'm going to watch "The Lady in the Van" tomorrow (recording it now) 'cos I like Maggie Smith.

BTW, Happy Christmas, Mikey. Don't forget "Tornado" is in Cardiff in March!
