scooby has always mispronounced his name.
Because he's stopped chasing the women, but is still tall & thin ?
Is it something to do with copywriter?

Cassa - that's what I was wondering. LOL at OG.
The answer is amazingly simple. They don't.

Only Scooby makes reference to Shaggy in the ad, and, as said, Scooby has NEVER ever said Shaggy. Scooby has always called him Raggy, because he can't do a "shhh" noise.

He is actually calling him Raggy too - you are not hearing it correctly.
I wonder how much it cost them for permission to use the Scooby characters and the Flintstones in their ads. They should use the money to give savers a slightly better interest rate. ;)
I'm half-joking, I know it wouldn't stretch very far between everyone, but really? Do we need cartoon characters to entice us to put our money in their accounts?
Bring back Howard.
I think its possible that the cartoon clips (and the “outtakes”) may be being used for more than one financial organisation...if you listen to what the cartoons say, the conversation is very generic, all the brand specific info is said by the humans. That would certainly reduce the cost to Halifax.
He calls him Raggy - perhaps they thought Shaggy was too rude!

Yes you're right, it's Raggy, just seen it again. Like you Lankeela I was thinking please don't tell me they're not even allowed to say Shaggy these days!!
