I'm watching. I found the first series went a bit odd in places and some of the attack scenes were horrible but watched it all.

It's so different though and such a stunning backdrop! Not sure I could live somewhere like that though.

Eve, do you have any idea what that 1946/9 flashback was about? Was that man actually supposed to be eating that baby?

Oh, I missed it was a flashback! Makes a bit more sense, I was wondering how it was all going to fit in.

I assumed the baby was dead when the man took it out afterwards, I assumed (argh I can't even type it!!!) which is why they didn't show all of it.

Given that man seemed to be immune to being shot, it could be that he is still around somewhere. Said it was about 60 miles away from Fortitude I think though.

I thought the dog place was further away from when the man and his little girl fled in the first season but must have got that wrong.

I had wondered if they would bring Dan back.

Or we are meant to think that the baby died, but it did survive but is infected somehow, like a host! Would have to be someone around their seventies now.

If it's anything like the first you'll just have to keep watching for explanation of early events as the story unfolds.

Do you mean Dan, the ginger one? They found him at the end looking rather worse for wear. That is who the one who is with the Mayor type lady (Hildi? Bit rubbish with the names), well, or not given his affair, was out looking for this episode.

From memory he went off after the girl he had a thing for went all rogue and he had to kill her.

They had just decided to give up on him as dead (though they were looking for a body most likely anyway) when he reappeared.
