I think this is one of the best write ups on the show I have read so far, sums it up for me.
We have become so used to being challenged by sharp and convoluted comedy or drama that sometimes plain simple and gentle story lines don't always grab the attention - but of course for many it has done just that.
Car Share is a brilliant comedy show, Peter Kay is his regular expected brilliant self, and his car sharer Siân Gibson is absolutely fantastic, but it seems that not enough credit is shown towards her.
In my opinion best double act since Morecambe & Wise.
It seems that the majority of sit-coms rely on 'serve and volley' punchline humour rather than letting the laughs in a situation or conversation arise naturally.
Peter Kay is a master at listening to, and reproducing, the patterns and rhythms of everyday speech and the unexpected humour they can entail.
