This could open another can of worms if this was extended to all awards. Imagine if a man won it 3 years in the trot for example. There would then be cries of sexism and then calls for a woman only shortlist for the following year fir the sake of 'diversity'. The mind boggles at the idiocy of it all.

why is it idiotic?
Having only one category, instead of two, would at least make all of those ruddy boring awards ceremonies a great deal shorter!

Anyway, it seems that the male/female divide is rapidly becoming a thing of the past anyway ;-)

I see from the photographs that many of the gals winning awards have gone for the v. sexy look.
In an ironic way I suppose. :)
Tommy Cooper was one of the pioneers of this approach.

My one complaint about this (not that it will ever visit my door) is , aren't the awards horrid?

They'd really mess up your décor.
This entire article on the same subject could wind up a few on here ...

Some of the categories seem a bit odd, best kiss????
Will there be a category for 'best sex scene' gender free of course!
On stage?

Wait till Leon from Gogglebox sees that - "They shouldn't be doing that...".
That was to DB but could include your reply too Eddie.
