I see there is no mention of "The Moorside" or Sheridan Smith.

I know not every program can be nominated but that drama was a highlight for me.

It aired this February, so perhaps it wasn't eligible ?

It might be for 2016 Mikey, is it live?
Question Author
Yes...well, sort-of live tonight, at 20:00 on BBC One.
"Programmes must have had their first transmission in the UK between 1 January and 31 December 2016 on terrestrial, cable, satellite or digital channels, including web based broadcasters who commission content (e.g.Netflix)"

Thanks Chris....I thought there must have been a good reason !
No mention of Victoria Wood on the 'memoriam' slot!
Who the hell designed that stage backdrop, I dont think he/she will be receiving any awards for that, what a mess!
Agree, awful backdrop!
Agree backdrop was terrible I watch a lot of telly but many of the shows featured have escaped me lots shown on BBC3 which usually don't get advertised much noticed as well Victoria Wood wasn't mentioned in obituary section and Corrie wasn't included in Soap category another few hours of my life I wont get back!!
Whatever was Sarah Lancashire wearing?
A marquee?
Wasn't as flattering as that good goalie!
Agree about Sarah Lancashire's outfit it was dreadful looked liked she had come from the canteen wearing the obligatory white blouse and black skirt
Agree, Netty, it looked awful. She was sitting with her husband - could he not have said 'yes' when she asked "does my bum look big in this" ?
She was obviously comfortable and doubt she needs anyone to tell her what size she is.

A thoroughly well deserved award.
I know she played a lesbian in Happy Valley, but what did she mean about C Foy had given her the best 10 hours under the duvet?

The press said C Foy beamed about it, but she looked embarrassed to me.
I only caught the last bit with Joanna Lumley.
trt, she played a lesbian in Last Tango in Halifax, not Happy Valley.
The reference to Claire Foy was about her role in the Netflix production The Crown, for which Foy had also been nominated.
Netflix series are well-known for being watched in one go, hence the '10 hours under the duvet' ref
## trt, she played a lesbian in Last Tango in Halifax, ##

Silly me goalie, I realize that now, hope they both come back soon.
Victoria Wood died in April last year so if the Baftas were in May 2016, presumably she would have been mentioned in the obituary section then.
Re Moorside: I thought Gemma Whelan deserved an award for her portrayal of Karen Matthews. I didn't watch the Baftas this year. I hope she'll be included in next year's nominees. Perhaps the date of broadcast made it ineligible for this year.
