Hope someone can help -- -
I'm trying to get hold of an obscure film that seems only to be available in VHS format and only for sale in the States! Does anyone know
a) How I might be able to convert an American VHS to a UK DVD
b) Any other means of getting hold of the film? I'd be happy to pay copyright or whatever!

It should be pretty easy to connect your VCR to your PC via a video capture card/device. You can then use the captured file to create a DVD if you have a DVD burner or a couple of VCDs if you only have a CD burner.
What is the film?
Some of the newer DVD players have a video slot...ive found that they will be able to play the American VHS tapes....check the details! Im from Canada, and the same format works above the 49th ! Ive had videos sent over and they play without a problem
You could always get it 'translated' to UK system...check local ads, or yellow pages.
As to obtaining the movie....try e-bay, but specify world as a pose to UK.!
Hope this helps....
