Great Indian Canal Tv Series

anyone see Timothy West and Prunella Scales in the first of the indian canal journeys, what did you think. personally i found it hard going only because prunella looked ill at ease the whole way through,i know she has dementia, it all seemed scripted and forced ,wont be watching the next episode,

I'm afraid I fell asleep half way through. It was a little slow going.

I love all their canal journeys. Pru does get a bit confused and vague at times, but I don't think that means she's ill at ease. I think she's happy to go boating.

I sat through an interesting programme with two normal people , no soggy bottoms or sobbing and telling me they have earned the right to screech and shout .

Thoroughly enjoyed the programme. Beautiful scenery and what a lovely couple they both are.

I think that it has lost the spontaneity of earlier series....seems too "staged" and a bit repetetive.

gingejbee, Perhaps that's because being in an exotic location they were accompanied by crew this time, rather than mastering their own vessel as they usually do.

I thought Timothy looked odd - then I realised he's shaved his beard off.

Prunella seemed to be enjoying herself, especially the dressing up and dancing. The show has always seemed scripted to me, in parts, but it hasn't spoiled it for me.
