Can Anyone Remember This Challenge Tv Show?

I remember a show from when I was younger which was a lot like Gladiators but seemed to have more to do with wrestling (I think anyway, it was some kind of fighting) on the Challenge channel. Contestants would have to take on challenges while being interrupted by the characters on the show (like the Gladiators but again, they were more wrestling/fighting themed). From what I remember, each episode had a plot which was either all connected or singular for each episode.

One thing I recall for sure was one of the key characters who looked like a biker and had an on-screen wife/partner etc with him. One episode was focused on his apparent death when near the end of the show, he appeared from out of the coffin.

I think it was on around the same time period as Takeshi's Castle but I may be wrong.
