Have just seen tonights tv schedule does anybody agree that over 2 hours of dancing is overkill? No doubt it'll be more padded out than an American Quarterback.
Thank goodness I got 2 weeks of Cold feet to watch

I'm looking forward to it, there are a lot of dances to get through, 15 pairs I think so it's actually pretty packed out as it's only just really started. Enjoy Cold Feet.
We are watching Tin Star. We have never watched Strictly but last weekend when we had visitors they wanted to see it, so we recorded it and they watched it in segments on Sunday. I didn't watch it but all the noise and the whooping got on my nerves. I put my headphones on and watched Youtube!

Now...if it was Fred and Ginger, I'd watch them.
No, I don't agree. You have lots of choice elsewhere...go and find something else and stop moaning.
(I dislike Cold Feet....but others, it seems, like it.)
You are forgetting that on Friday we have "Strictly - It Takes Two". This is billed as "...all the backstage gossip in a one hour Friday show. A panel of celebrity fans join Zoe (?) and Gethin Jones (?) reports from behind the scenes at rehearsals."

Just how much "gossip" can there be from a pro-celebrity dancing contest? And isn't the idea of rehearsals to iron out the faults before your paying customers see the finished product? What's to report?

I had the misfortune to catch a bit of this fiasco of a TV programme when visiting somebody last year. I've never seen such a mountain made from a molehill. I suppose it just about fits with what passes for Saturday night entertainment on the telly these days. Personally I'd sooner stick pins into my eyeballs.
We have strictly take two all week, not just Friday. It's great and unmissable if your a strictly fan.
Here's a tip....don't watch it!

Thanks Eth, I'll go with that!
Good choice for you Baldric ;)
NJ can come with me to the Eye Hospital next week, if he keeps doing the pin thing.
Cold Feet is great :-)
Hate cold feet so dont watch it, but I don't come on here complaining about it, I just watch something else.
Anyhow, lots of dancing to watch.... :)
"We have strictly take two all week, not just Friday."

What?

Despite my dislike of the show, eth, I'm genuinely interested. Just what do they fill a show with every night? Please help me understand!
It takes two is worth watching, to admire the gorgeous Zoe Ball and marvel at her impossibly high heels.
I have a functioning remote control.
I rarely catch It Takes Two, from ones I've seen it follows the rehearsals, has interviews with the couples and has special guests on to talk about the live shows and bits they have seen from rehearsals. They also have visits from Craig, maybe other Judges but I've only ever seen him on them. They had a competition last year between the professionals too, not full dances, on a dancing technique, it was the fastest professional last year, trying to beat a Guinness World Record for the amount of Jive kicks and flicks in 30 seconds.

Good to see more of them rehearsing as you get to see very little in the VT before they do their dance on the live show and quite often it's about them doing other stuff.
i have finally found a tv program my 5 year old likes that's not paw patrol
Ah it'll be all that glitter, bednobs.
I agree with you Tilly - spoilt by all the noise and whooping. I have recorded it and can watch bits with people I have heard of to see how they get on.
I, also, have a functional remote and fast forward button!
No, I don't agree that it was overkill, after all they had 15 dancers to perform ! Great show. Cold Feet - ugghhh !!
