What did you think? I felt a bit robbed of a really good outcome.

Terrible, the drama producers seem incapable of ending a series properly. Who put him there? Is that the new series? My money's on the police officer's girlfriend.
I haven't watched it but the wife has so I had to watch this final episode. Even I feel robbed
Yes, terrible ending. Writers seem unable to provide closure in dramas these days.

I was convinced the detective was bent, at the end but, no. Very lame.
He'd been missing for 3 weeks but wasn't that badly decomposed.

Ah but you don’t know when he was killed and who did it. Use the 2nd series. :)

Cue, not use.
Awful. I kept willing it to have some really good twist that I hadn't guessed, but she finds the memory cards thenquote[he just kills himself]? Utter garbage.
What was the person in the canoe at the end doing. ?
Doesn't look like he killed himself. He had his throat slit.
Might his son been capable of murder? He was in two minds about his father's innocence.

He canoed to the middle of nowhere only to bump into someone who decided to slit his throat?
lol I'm glad I only wasted my time on one episode.
Glad I'm not the only one that felt robbed lol :P

Still can't fathom out if he killed himself (slit his own throat??), or if someone killed him, but when the credits came on at the end, I actually shouted out, "is that it?"

*SIGH*
I even checked at 9.50 to see if it was an extra long episode, it couldn't be wound up in 10 minutes, or so I thought.
What a bloody waste of catch up tv that was.
Was there any canoeing in any of the other episodes?

It seemed a bit random.
Yes...Laura.
She was interviewed on day time TV and kayaking was the only sport she actually managed to master for a roll.
There must be something in that then?
I am fed up of being robbed of a decent ending. First Dr Foster and now Liar.
Well at least we are getting a second series.
