Sheridan Smith can sing and is credible. The others .....

Alexander Armstrong can sing - but none of them float my boat in terms of wanting to own their offerings as singers as opposed to watching them doing their 'day jobs'.

For some reason, we seem to expect that actors and presenters can sing, and similarly the other way, that singers can act - not sure why.

I wouldn't expect my postman to offer to tarmac my driveway - why do we (or indeed why do they!) think that this is normal and up to an appropriate standard?

Next thing, we'll be expecting celebs to pop up and dance on TV ... oh ... hang on ...
