Just seen this and was unsure when it started whether it could match up to the old one but have to say I thought it was very good - fast and funny.

I agree, Lankeela. I din't like the first one but it has grown on me. He is exactly like the old Fletch. His mannerisms and his timing is spot on. It is very funny.
It is very good isn't it.
I like the fact its not remaking it as the main character is Fletchers grandson.
I am starting to like it, but you have to regard it as entirely new and not try to compare it to the old one.
The grandson behaves in exactly the same way as the grandfather. He is Fletch.
It has the same writers as the original, so it was bound to be good and of similar humour.
I'm surprised anyone stuck with it.
I didn't like it, myself. Can't see the point of dragging up an old classic.
Last night's episode had me laughing my socks off. I love it.
I'm a fan!
Officer Meekie singing had me crying with laughter! Priceless.
Missed last night's episode Tilly, Ill catch up over breakfast!
I hope you enjoy it, Eleena.
so much like Fletch.... have warmed to it !
Just waiting for my husband to return from having a haircut, he's picking up some grated cheese on the way back to make toasties with, I'm starving! Will definitely have a back to back catch up Tilly.
cheese and pickle Toasty ... yum yum....
I watched it and loved it. Hubby said it was a bit silly that that also have a Scottish prison officer and then to be called Meekie (like MacKay) but he still laughed at it.
Oh dear, we watched 15 minutes and thought it was absolutely dire and turned it off.
Prudie , you have to take it for what it is, a bit of updated nostalgia..
Didn't give it much chance when I saw the 1st episode, now warming to it. Last night's episode was very good.
