Why does she get more publicity / exposure, and products to promote, than other reality show winners, let alone Bake Off winners? Watching her on Jonathan Ross tonight, he and his audience roared with laughter at everything she said as if she was a top comedienne, yet I can’t see anything particularly interesting or amusing about her....though her anecdote about having a knife in her hand when she met The Queen was quite shocking. Her dress code is no longer as strict as when she won GBBO
It's a form of Stockholm Syndrome. After years of "religion of peace", "nothing to do with Islam", "most Muslims don't..." and other evasions of obvious truths we've found a Muslima everybody can love. "See, we always told you. That's what Muslims are really like.".
I'm with Mamya on this one,a delightful lady with an easy charm. I didn't see her tonight but seem to remember her wearing a headscarf on GBBO, has she stopped wearing it?
I agree with you Vernon. It puzzles me too. And why has she relaxed her dress code? I have my suspicions that it has something to do with the BBC initially striving to be inclusive with their contestants.
Jane Goody got a lot of publicity when she won a reality tv programme. Also, Dee Kelly from Benefits St was everywhere for a while, even on Question Time.
Some people just seem to appeal to the media.
It's a good job we have clever people like v-e and naomi24 to point out all these things that the masses like us are too dumb and too gullible to see as we are continually brainwashed by the liberal left right-on brigade in the MSM. I must admit that I too had fallen into the trap of thinking it was just because she had a personality that people found charming and a good agent.
I like Nadiya but I'll admit to finding her and her voice a tad grating on The Big Family Cooking Showdown. She and Zoe Ball were an odd pairing indeed and I'm not sure what Nadiya's role was, other than having her index finger glued to her chin as she gazed at all the families in wonderment.
Her recruitment to the show was probably in the name of diversity but I'd rather tune in and see Nadiya than that awful pouting Candice.
Islay, My ‘attack’ isn’t thinly veiled and it isn’t on her. It’s on the ‘useful idiots’ who, in their quest for ‘diversity’, laud people not for their talents (she’s a lousy presenter) but for their usefulness in championing a cause. This is one such example.
That said, if you came on here to comment on her ability to present a programme, I can’t see your comment.
Naomi I didn't comment as I was shocked at the once again blatant attacks on an ethnic minority by the usual crew.
As for her abilities, I enjoy watching her, she will have a few years on the presenting circuit and then the next reality winner will take over.
