for me its Clocking Off with Philip Glenister, a wonderful Paul Abbott drama, sadly
it doesn't seem as though they ever will show it again.

The Wonder Years, for the grandchilden to watch. I was going to buy it for a birthday present but it was about £75 for the box set, I may get them a series each year so they can grow with it.

I loved St Elsewhere and was delighted to find all seasons on Channel 4's On Demand service last year. They may still be there!
Just checked RE: St Elsewhere. All episodes still on Channel 4 catch-up..and all FREE!

Thank you Buenchico. I will give it a whirl.
Jewel In The Crown and A Passage to India. We missed a lot of things by being abroad for 70s and half of the 80s, I've just watched When The Boat Comes In and Brideshead Revisited thanks to Sky.

What that link got to do with my reply Baldric?
As I said Baldric, thank God for YOU TUBE!
emmie, if you look, the full series of Clocking Off is available to view on You Tube.
Chris, Sgt Biko is on Forces tv weekday evenings 07:00 pm.http://www.forces.net/tv/watch-now-forces-tv
Forces tv. Freeview/Youview, ch 96.
Clocking Off.
Hadn’t thought to order it on Amazon, but have now. Thanks for the reminder. Was a brilliant series. So many good actors.
Thanks, Sipowicz, but Forces TV uses the Com8 multiplex, meaning that it can only be received by viewers with access to Freeview HD (because Com8 uses HD encoding, even for the SD channels it broadcasts).

So, just like Talking Pictures TV and Vintage TV (which use Com7, which is also configured for HD) the channel isn't available to viewers who've just got basic (SD) Freeview, as I have.
Chris, I recommend Talking Pictures, but they seem to have stretched the image in a way that my TV, at least, won't unstretch. Also, no subtitles for their occasionally crackly soundtracks. Nevertheless, it's a treasure trove of ancient British films. They had Fire Maidens from Outer Space on recently.
The Equalizer...with Edward Woodward. He has a beautiful singing voice as well you know...

Comedy wise, I'd love to see Coupling, Drop the dead donkey, Butterflies, 2 point 4 children, Watching, Citizen Smith and Dear John.
