and should be in adverts but does anyone else think the Christmas adverts are abysmal this year - especially the Sainsburys one? The best thing is the skating polar bears which I thought was a better one till I realised it was a trailer for Dancing on Ice.
did a thread on the BBC one which people seem to rather like, about being together as a family, oneness.. I like the waitrose one all those people stuck in a pub until they get rescued, which they don't want to at all.
TBH I don't 'get' most of the ads these days, especially the ones for perfume. They don't make any sense! I must be honest though, I'm really fed up with the charity ads. If I gave to every one I'd be needing charity!
I get fed up with the togetherness of them, mixed race marriages, Black people and Muslims, we all know that diversity is the latest trend, but surely there are other races such as the Chinese and other religions such as the Jews?
Everybody who has posted about the BBC advert has said that they like it, but have seen no need to mention that the man and his daughter are probably not white.

I never mentioned the BBC advert, in fact I don't even think that I have seen it, not to mention that the man and his daughter are probably not white.
I like the Tesco one where the gormless teenage son asks "what's for dinner" when the whole festive spread is in front of him. Exactly the sort of daft thing my grandson would come out with.
Horselady....A friend of mine has to make egg and chips on Xmas Day, for her somewhat ungrateful 15 year old son, as there is nothing in a traditional Xmas lunch that he will eat ! Not even roast potatoes..... I can just imagine my Mother doing that 50 years ago !
