Just watched 2 of my favourite old films sherlock holmes with basil rathbone and nigel Bruce on TCM film channel over 70 years old still wonderful films

i must admit that i like the newer ones with Benedict Cumberbatch, they are modern and i prefer them.

Bazil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce were a superb Sherlock and Watson.
I've got a DVD in my collection called 'Murder By Decree' starring Christopher Plummer as Holmes and James Mason playing Watson......a really good thriller and excellently portrayed by the lead actors....also stars John Gielgud, Anthony Quayle, Frank Finlay, David Hemmings Genevieve Bujold, and Donald Sutherland.

Recommended, if you haven't seen it. I would have put up a You Tube link up with the film trailer, but unfortunately it reveals too many spoilers in it, so did'nt,...and much better to watch it not knowing whats going to happen.

You seem to have really good taste in your film selections, Voltage..:-)....thought of another I like....Peter Cushing in The Hound Of The Baskervilles.....he was very good in that.

Great minds, Voltage.......really liked him as Doctor Who in his two feature films, which both in a double-bill, also sits, pride of place, in my DVD collection.
