Level Of Violence In Soaps

No further explanation needed really - Emmerdale, Corrie, Eastenders all with very violent scenes over the past couple of weeks - really not enjoying watching them. Horrible for families with young kids too. Much prefer the lighthearted storylines.

I don't see why that level of violence is allowed so early in the evening. It should be rescheduled, what happened to the 'watershed'?

Even Ernie Bishop's shooting was 'accidental' (due to Mike Baldwin showing up) - these days they would have shot him too or used the end of the rifle to knock him out and shown the robbers being downright violent instead of the bungled robbery. Just don't think it leaves anything to the imagination.
