i posted on this before the series aired, saw a trailer and thought wow, so glad you enjoyed it....
it was an excellent mini series, specially if you like davis and crawford films, i prefer the former, but both great actresses in their day. sarandon and lange also great actresses.
I thought the casting was inspired especially Susan Sarandon as Bette Davis, but they had a legion of stars to go along with a brilliant script. I watched it in almost one swoop, on BBC i player.
The only complaint I had were the actresses portraying Crawford and Davis were significantly older than them. Otherwise fantastic

Best TV series of TV programmes I've seen for years.

I think in their day 30 was the new 50 rather than the other way around, as it is now. Excellent programme., excellent portrayals, especially from Susan Sarandon. Bette Davis, as I understand it, never was easy .... in more ways than one.
I met Bette at Heathrow when she was on her way To Cairo for the filming of Death on the Nile. I asked for her autograph, which I still treasure, and she was delightful!
What a lovely memory , all I have is a signed photograph of Bette my Grandmother got for me.
I started watching it, and I will finish, besides Baby Jane I don't know if I've ever watched a Bette Davis or Joan Crawford movie before.
We found the series an oasis in a desert.
