The funniest comedy on TV at the moment - by a mile.

The nun is beyond brilliant and the girls are a real hoot - last night's "priest in conflict" was nicely done too.

Even with a decent ear for a non-iron accent I was missing bits - so I watched all three episodes again with the subtitles on - excellent stuff.

Tried the first episode but the voice of one of the girls made my ears bleed. Perhaps i was too hasty in switching off. I'll give it another try sometime.

You would struggle with the real Derry accent then - as they are quite tame by comparison

It really is hilarious especially the girl with the wavy black hair and the nun. They are making a 2nd series as it has been so popular.

The 'girl' i referred to in my earlier post was the one who advocated sticking together outside the 'head's office' then immediately on entry, blamed the others. I'd sooner listen to someone scraping their nails down a blackboard.
And i did 3 four month tours of N Ireland in the 70s and never had a problem understanding any of the people i talked to. None sounded like her!

Don't quite know how i managed it, but i got through the entire first episode. And i have to say that i won't be bothering with any more, definitely not my cup of tea. then again, neither was Father Ted, so what do i know.
