//Lucy Strike is Strike's younger half-sister on his mother's side. She craves suburban normality and family stability to make up for their peripatetic childhood, and is seen by Strike (perhaps a little unfairly) as somewhat judgemental. Strike attends her son's birthday party in the first novel. During the second novel, she hosts a birthday meal for her half-brother. Though he admits to being extremely fond of her, their relationship is sometimes strained.//
