What a refreshing comment from the headmaster who told parents to have fun and play in the snow with their children "making memories that will last longer than any lessons taught in the classroom"

What a fantastic Head! Love folk like this....... :-) I recall missing out on one of our Christmas productions because OFSTED was visiting.... . I'm sure all the children still remember the fun they had during OFSTED week.... :-(

It's a lovely idea, but how many will be out making snowmen, and how many indoors on their phones and iPads?
I live right by the beach which has lots of snow on it, and I haven't seen a single child out playing, and I'm sure the schools are shut. Having said that, I did mention on another thread that our snow isn't sticking, so maybe they tried but went back indoors.

Children and adults, their parents I guess have been spending the last 2 days here playing in the snow, buying sleds and making snowmen, walloping the lives out of each other with snowballs, it's been really great as all shops are closed until after tomorrow afternoon, they're playing closer to their homes now as we're on a snow curfew for want of a better word waiting for this storm
