I may be a bit simple but if the cellist thinks she's the missing child and the child's mother is still around then why can't they do a DNA test?

I have lost interest now and given up. Too much trying to be spooky and not enough story.
That wouldn't be much of a story though
that would be too simple, i lost the plot on the last episode, not sure what she turned into, but it wasn't good.
Gave up after first episode ..dreary stuff
it was quite good, but lost the last episode, if someone can explain it that would be good.
I thought it was enjoyable and the story complex if a little predictable, we watched it all in 2 days.
It was suggested last night by the girl with the book of photos, but she said the police would need to approve it (I think). Strange. I've thought all along that that would be the obvious answer.
