yes I have them on record so when i retired for the night I can watch him from my beddy-byes - sista phoned me to let me know about him - I know my mother and father liked him but in those days I don't think there were subtitles so I could never follow him per se
I used to love his old shows as a kid in the 1970s.
I always wondered if the stuff in his glass was whiskey.
My Mum bought me a DVD of some of his shows a while ago, I've been saving it "for a rainy day". I think it's still in its cellophane wrapper!
That's the same as me Mal re box-sets - have a box set of M*A*S*H sitting for about a year and half - sista loved it - always thought the humour was brilliant but when it was shown years ago - never was subtitled - even now I think it is on True Entertainment and still not subtitled. Might get around to it some "sunny summer day". Whenever that will be
I was tucked up with my knitting enjoying this wonderful man when I was interrupted by a Catholic priest.......Dave Allen and I have a lot in common.....
Part of this programme was on the radio last week.....bliss to listen to under the duvet....x
i always remember the sketch he did with the bottom half of a woman in victorian floozy dress and top half of a gentleman ,with the womans walk getting faster as if she is been followed lol.
