How awful was her presentation f the BAFTA TV Awards last night? When she pressed Mel Giedroyc’s face into her chest, British television reached an all-time low. Did anyone on here find her funny? Would Ms Perkins get so much work if she didn’t tick a particular PC box?

She's very beige and that's putting it mildly.
can't stand neither her nor her side kick
Nice enough people...awful presenters.
Bring back Danny Baker!

By the way, you’ve ruined the programme for me now as I had it ‘taped’ to watch later. Why no spoiler?

Sue actually sad to Mel, live on BBC1, “feel my boobs”. Had a man been hosting the BAFTAS and said something of that nature about his private parts, there’d have been outrage and his career would’ve been over. But box ticker Sue will presumably get away with it
did Ant and Dec get anything ?
6 months. (Joke!)
Zac ! naughty !
Ive never liked Sue Perkins, and after reading here biography recently, I like her even less. She is very crude.
" had a man been hosting" " a man was not hosting though were they ?
We did not watch the BAFTA's.
Sue Perkins presented a good Documentary about the Mekong River some time ago, which we enjoyed.
Maybe she should stick with programmes like that instead
I saw the documentary she did about the Ganges. Very good indeed. I liked her and Mel on Bake Off, but I didn't watch the Baftas so can't say.
I despair sometimes, it's as if she has made her sexuality the key to her professional persona. When famous 'out ' folk do things like this it reinforces a stereotype and makes it that little bit harder for the everyday lesbian next door to live a conventional life without having to deal with what other people think you are going to be like. Much prefer Sandi Toksvig
Well, I haven't tried Sandi myself, but she looks as if she might be a goer.
I'm sure that makes sense to you, Zacs.
In my opinion it is all part of the BBC's drive to be more inclusive with their presenters. In a lot of cases when a male radio presenter is on holiday the have a female presenter stand in for them. For the vast majority I think that they are put in the spotlight too early in their careers because they are just awful (a male presenter pushed in too early would be just as bad). I know new talent has to be blooded but the BBC should wait until they are ready... and don't get me started pn sports presenters!

If a programme is advertised as having 'Mel and Sue' in it,
no-one in this house will be watching it, they're rubbish.
Same here balders
I agree 100%. If she were not LGBTQ+ and of a certain religion she would be elsewhere. There was no merit in her antics. No value in her performance. Did not enhance the ceremony, just student antics from a woman nearer the grave than life. She is a LGBTQ+ person and a woman so let the BBC throw shed loads of licence payer money at her and suddenly it is the very model of egaliatarianism? Was that the notion. But remember her antics in the old TV programme 'Supersize Me'. In that she was very 'straight' very non LGBTQ+ kissing and cuddling Mr Coren. In denial? Remember former comedy duo partner Mel on 'Big Fat Quiz of the Year a while back? Drunk and banging on about the railways tracks shouting over all and convinced she was witty? What has gone wrong?
You think her Religion has a bearing too?

Fascinating.
