If you saw the bit where Gil made love to his dentist - they obviously started a relationship, and by coincidence, both he and Allie attended the same theatre play, he with her dentist, her with her cousin, who isn't actually her cousin. It ended with them three rows apart, and as the camera panned back, they were the only two people in the theatre not laughing. Fabulous.

Hey Andy

Thanks for that....I can sleep now.....I just hoping that theres a dvd out in time for christmas.

No problem. I have loeved the entire series, and have laughed like a drain through every episode. it was all so subtle and understated, with things never going quite the way you thought they would.

The look on Ali's face when her friend produced a candle last night - perfect, I coldn't breathe for laughing! I hope they do another series - I think it has the mileage.

Thanks suzanneb & andy for this - I can't believe I watched every minute of the series & loved it too but fell asleep for the last 20 mins!!! Aaaaggghhh!
(I'm still in the old time - can't do with altering the clocks!)
I was so disappointed with the final episode. The period drama bits became irritating and then Alice and Gil didn't even clap eyes on each other by the end. Felt quite shortchanged by it.
I have to agree fatcat I was starting to find the last episode slower than the previous ones - that's probably why I fell asleep! But I was still annoyed!
