I don't watch BGT but had a look at the magician.....fantastic...and so emotional....

I'm not clear if he gets some prize money...anyone know?

There are too many good magicians about at the moment so one has to be sensational to win and although he was excellent, he wasn't sensational.

I am surprised but happy that the WW2 AAAFs went through, they should have saved that performance for the final.

I am unhappy and uncomfortable with the cerebral palsy guy going through.

The chap with cerebral palsy already has a series on radio 4 (not funny at all IMO) and has won some prestigious awards already so he is a known performer. I wonder if he was headhunted for BGT..a friend of mine was so it does happen

I felt uncomfortable watching him too, then felt bad for feeling like that. I did like the WW2 girls. I think a lot of people were shocked that the dance troupe didn't get through.

My concern with the disabled guy is that he has managed to get this far on BGT because of his disability rather than despite of his disability - because let's face it, he isn't even remotely funny.

I thought the disabled man was great. Liked the magicians, but found the ww2 singers a bit uncomfortable. I don't think they should have gone through.

the magician was good but they buy these "tricks" from somewhere unlike paul daniels who actually constructed many many of these illusions, and this was easy to see how it was done

Simon Cowell makes it clear to the viewers which acts he wants to go through to the final - ie. the ones he knows he can make money out of afterwards as they remain under contract to him. The D-Day Darlings are a great idea, but I don't think show much talent - they simply choose old apt songs and do a reasonable job of performing them. I'd rather they did a lively version of The Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, or something like that. Mallyj, what was the act your friend did on BGT?

Yes, the magician should have got through instead of the so called comedian, who is not funny imo. Glad the girl singers got through, I love them !

Squad It's been done many times the guy laid down was escorted on stage they have false steel arm fixed to a back plate and herself is attached to it wearing a similar device you can see the arm /hand is not real if you slow it down and watch it closely. its not "magic"

I didn't watch it at all last night - but may I ask was the magician who I last seen/saw erm regarding his baby picking/saying a word that Simon picked from a book. Sorry for the babble LOL
