I think he did the right thing. He's no Paxman, but clearly he can't see the point in questioning someone who won't answer, and I can't either.

Indeed. More interviewers should have the gumption to call a halt to interviews with politicians who blatantly obfuscate. Instead they allow them to drone on about unrelated matters that they believe viewers and listeners should hear.
