What will it take to get her off Radio 2’s drive-time? She is sooooooo dull. More dreary than Dermot O’Dreary. Anyone out there actually like this show?

Bring back Simon Mayo back on his own how it was. I will start listening to it again .

I rarely listen to Radio 2 but when I listened to the new Wiley and Mayo show I thought it sounded very forced. Simon Mayo seemed to do fine on his own before. I don't mind Jo Wiley but she's more of a serious music presnter (6 Music type) rather than the sort of light fun/chatty type needed for daytime radio 2
This has been debated previously.
The BBC will be aware of the mass of hostility that has greeted the inclusion of Jo Whiley onto Simon Mayo's Drivetime.
Sources infer that neither presenter was in favour of the change, forced by the bright idea that 'diversity' needs to come before simple analysis of the suitability of changes, and the audiences' reactions to them.
The BBC now has to grit its teeth for a sufficient time to look as though they abandoned the show for reasons other than its utter and compete miserable failure for minute one of broadcast.

I like the new Jo chat show about babies and picking your children up from ballet class etc. and the intimate details of her life such as fights she has with her husband (she is going off him), how her children have differing views and how clever they are, her dyslexia problems it is all so sweet and lovely. All 'grandma and slippers'. It is her show after all - she said so the other day - so stop moaning.
She has such a boring voice too - but my biggest grip with most of these shows is asking people to email in with what they are having for tea, what they are doing eg decorating the spare room or the even worse topics such as things you bought that were a disaster - really - who wants to be bored by such mundane things - I am sure the presenters really don't give two hoots what someone has had for their tea.
