Anyone else can’t stand the TV adverts with the women nodding to the music in the car (Vauxhall, I think) and the telephonist warning people not to reveal their PIN numbers? These ads are on telly way too often for my liking

Jet 2 holiday ads seem to go on and on, I would like to see the take out where the adult throws the kid into the pool.
fiction-factory

/// I'm one who prefers to tape things like Corrie and fast forward x20 through the ads ///

Blimey do you still use VHS tapes?
Took me years to get out of the habit of saying 'I'll tape that new programme' old habits are hard to kick aren't they.
Royal Navy Engineer.

If you can fix a bike, then you can fix a car, then you can learn to fix a Lynx helicopter, you can fix a..........

I use vhs tapes too - all my past parties are all taped
The funeral ads where the actors are as wooden as the coffins they're advertising.
the girl ad getting the PIN number
having been subject to a scam, I think it is useful

( the scammer rang on 21 consecutive days trying to get the other half of the information that had been mistakenly given him. the end came when he said,'oh you know about the Fraud Act do you?' and I said, yes I do actually .....)
The pin number scammer actually gives me the creeps - her eyes and expression as it changes from a smile to a sneer - very well cast I think.

The worst ones are toilet paper (how does it make you feel) and nappy ads at tea time - really don't want to be thinking of poo while eating my tea.

For some reason I dislike most yoghurt ads - definitely time to put the kettle on etc.
By the time most have reached the required quota levels there's not time for product mentions, annoying or otherwise.

The smug BMW ad
If I were going to buy a car would avoid this like the plague
Revolting
One of the best thing about being able to skip through the ads is that you gain 10 mins out of every hour long programme ! This means you can watch more!!
Two points.
Avoiding the ads via the FF button is getting harder because some channels vary the lengths of the ad breaks and, misleadingly, show the station logo and livery midway through, making you think they are finished. Maybe advertisers have to pay extra for ads placed after the false alarm.
Secondly, if an ad really annoys or disgusts you, it is still permitted to boycott the product. If ads became counter-productive they would have to think again about material that offends viewers in their own homes.
The one that really creeps me out is the M&M advert.. Firstly, the husband comes in and is annoyed because he wanted either a 3some or he wanted to join his wife in eating their friend (cannibalism?).. and why is the Yellow one hiding in the wardrobe? So he can watch?
The whole thing is just creepy..
Of course the worst one of the lot is those irritating z listers on the postcode lottery ad and the dreadful 'winners' - makes me want to throw a brick at the screen.
Although purple bricks is nearly up there with them.
BagPuss.....LOL.

Nothing creepy about a threesome, but i agree I would draw the line with a Malteser.
The funeral plan makes me laugh, old bloke says "where would I find that kind of money?".

Err he wouldn't need to, he'd be gone.

Can't stand that scrawny wench....or the advert.
The other one I find annoying is one for Glasses by Post.. can't remember the name of the company but the two people that they have got advertising it look dreadful in the glasses they feature. They couldn't have picked two more unphotogenic people to front an ad campaign!
