We were watching his tribute show last night, I like the guy and find him quite funny sometimes, he seems a really nice chap. But he has lost so much weight ! I hope he is not ill, does anybody know if the weightloss was intentional ?

Glad to hear he is not seriously ill. Yes, I am afraid to say, that's the best way to lose weight, cut out all the goodies like sugar, booze etc.

I watched it last night and found it funny. Didn't expect to.

I think when large people lose weight we often say unfairly that they look ill. If he'd always looked like that people wouldn't say he looked it ill. It's just one of the few advantages of being overweight is your face tends to be very plumped out and wrinkle free with no bone structure visible.

Do you think that when people who are getting on a bit lose a lot of weight it makes them look gaunt and ill around the face and might they look younger and healthier if they are a bit of a chubby chops?

I once thought him funny, but when he started having digs at white folk and getting involved in politics, he went down in my estimation.

Although I didn't watch the programme, I did catch a quick glance of him preforming on the Black & White Minstrel Show.

I didn't see last night's show but also saw him in interview and he did look a bit gaunt, glad he isn't unwell.

AOG, at the age of 17 or so lots of budding stars take roles they may later regret.

He's alright Lenny..He's so down to earth and funny. He's done very well losing all that weight. Good on him!

There is a name that describes such actions.
