Jim texted Johnny tonight. Err he's only known him a few days, why, on earth, wpuld he have his number?

In Eastenders last week Ruby texted Stacey after not seeing her for many years. Did she still have Staceys number? And would Stacey still have the same number after all those years if she even had a mobile back then.

Me too JtH only 3 phones for me though in about the same time as you. I won't change this number unless I have to.

Darcey - A basic lesson to remember when watching any soap, is that they don't stand up to even the slightest scrutiny - they façade falls apart.

There are many many reasons why soaps don't resemble real life, and this mobile number scenario is just one more of them.

To enjoy soaps you can approach them in one of two ways - suspend your disbelief entirely and simply go with what you see, or ruthlessly dissect the endless aspects where reality would not permit situations, and laugh all day long.

What you need to avoid is trying a little of one or the other, which will simply get you wound up.
