Zoe Ball

Just heard that Zoe Ball is to take over from Chris Evans on the BBC2 breakfast show. Not too sure about this, but will reserve judgement until she actually starts. Plenty more stations if I can't take to her.

However, the BBC like her, which is the primary prerequisite, possibly the public likes her as well, less important, and she will tick the diversity boxes.
I don't listen at that time of the day, but I would have been furious on principle if Jo Whiley had got it - she continues to sound as awkward and out of her depth as a student on hospital radio, as she has done since she started.

I've only ever seen her on the BBC2 Strictly show and I liked her. But when she started bad mouthing the lovely Fatboy Slim aka Norman Cook after she left him for someone else then I went off her. I hate people badmouthing their other halves especially when there are children involved.
So I really have no idea whether she is the right person for this show or not. Time will tell I expect.
